Overview
A business name lets a sole proprietor or partners trade under a name other than their own. The Business Registration Service handles name searches, reservations and registrations online through eCitizen. A reserved name is held for 30 days while you complete registration.

Individuals or partners who want to trade under a business name. Limited companies use a separate incorporation service.

- eCitizen account
An account for each applicant, linked to the national ID or passport.
- Approved name
A name search and reservation approved by BRS.
- Proprietor details
ID, KRA PIN, contact and address details of each owner or partner.
