Overview
Since 1 September 2025 foreign nationals need an electronic entry authorisation before travelling to Somalia. You apply on the official portal, upload documents and pay online; all visa fees go to Ministry of Finance accounts. Most applicants also need a letter of guarantee from a Somali sponsor.

Foreign visitors, except permit holders, diplomats, UN passport holders and citizens of countries with free-movement agreements.
