Overview
Tanzanian electronic passports are applied for online. Payment is in two parts: the application form fee generates your control number, and the passport fee is paid when you submit. You then take the printed form and attachments to a regional immigration office, Immigration Headquarters or the Zanzibar head office for biometric capture.
Who can apply
Tanzanian citizens with a national identity card. Applicants abroad apply through a Tanzanian embassy, which charges USD 90 in total.
