Ol Pejeta is a not-for-profit wildlife conservancy on the Laikipia plateau, between the Aberdares and Mount Kenya, near Nanyuki.
It protects a large black rhino population and is home to the last two northern white rhinos, both female, who are cared for around the clock. Lions, elephants, buffaloes and leopards complete the Big Five.
Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary cares for rescued chimpanzees, the only place to see the species in Kenya. The conservancy also runs night drives, lion tracking and community visits.
